Function
What this part does
Tooth wear is a drive problem before it is a gear problem
The gear ring transmits power from the motor and gearbox to the shell. Wear or poor mesh shows up as noise, vibration and current spikes, and it accelerates quickly once the pinion alignment drifts. Checking backlash and lubrication at the same interval as the rollers keeps both faces alive.
Engineer’s note
Send the drum diameter, tooth count and module, plus photos of the existing mesh. Rings are matched to the pinion and supplied with mounting details.
